The African Christian Fellowship was established a little less than fifty years ago by the unction of the Holy Spirit during a wave of spiritual revival that swept the globe in the 1970s and 1980s. Since then, the Lord has established ACFUSA from coast to coast in the United States and across the African continent. The generation that founded ACFUSA has been used by God in remarkable ways to spread the gospel of salvation, compassionately giving their time and resources.
As many of these first-generation believers who built ACFUSA are now aging and retiring, it is crucial that their zeal and burden for this fellowship be passed on to the next generation. Unfortunately, the lukewarmness and weeds of slothfulness sown by the enemy have hindered growth and commitment in ACFUSA, just as we see in the global Church today.
The key phrase in the vision of ACFUSA is that we shall be “a thriving Christian community.” To see this vision fulfilled, we need revival and restoration in ACFUSA and in the wider body of Christ. We need the Lord to revive and restore us in power and dominion so that we can fulfill our vision: that ACF shall be a thriving Christian community that models integrity, excellence, and compassion to mobilize and empower Africans worldwide to impact their generation and Africa.
